Berton Vineyards is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Cellar Door Sales Assistant to join our friendly team. If you love wine, customer service, and creating memorable experiences for guests, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage visitors, providing an exceptional and welcoming experience at our cellar door.
- Lead wine tastings and educate guests on our range of wines.
- Assist with retail sales, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately.
- Share knowledge of Berton Vineyards products, promotions, and events to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting cellar door environment.
- Contribute to the setup and coordination of events and private tastings.
- Assist with stock management and merchandising of wines and cellar door products.
- Work collaboratively with the team to enhance customer satisfaction.
Skills and Experience:
- A passion for wine, with a basic knowledge of wine varieties, tasting techniques, and the winemaking process (training will be provided).
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service roles may be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- A positive, can-do attitude, and a team-oriented approach.
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and during special events as required.
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, or a willingness to obtain, is essential.
